We have always believed 116 & West can – and should — have a positive impact on the community in which we live. That’s why we created the 116 Acts of Kindness program — established to organize monthly group volunteer activities within the team and also donate time to individuals’ charities of their choice. In addition, we partner with nonprofit organizations in our community to provide pro-bono marketing services in support of initiatives that impact the community we love.

Our 116 Acts of Kindness program is focused on benefiting and enriching our community. Some of our standout events over the the years include: participation in the Make-A-Wish Idaho Walk For Wishes, our Christmas in July donation drive for the Women and Children’s Alliance, buying and cooking dinner for residents of Boise’s Ronald McDonald House, a donation drive and pet treat bake day for the Idaho Human Society, a First Thursday art exhibit to support Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month (one of our employee’s father succumbed to this disease), and a December holiday donation for the Women and Children’s Alliance. Our January initiative focuses internally on the physical and mental well-being of our team, to prepare ourselves for another year of deadline-oriented client work and community involvement.

116 & West aims to cultivate a positive environment in which it’s employees grow. We offer flexible work weeks and the autonomy for our employees to manage their in balance with the needs of their lives.  If you need to come in early so you can leave at 3pm to make a kid’s event, go! We also have an unlimited vacation policy which we believe takes the pressure off planning and we hope it allows employees to balance work and life. Our hybrid work schedule allows for WFH Fridays and the ability to work from home occasionally or remotely (coffee shops, library) because we understand some days you just need to get out of the office and focus.

Our annual employee retreat is one of our favorite events, where we pack up the whole agency and get out of town. This allows for great team building and fun for the office. We also offer paid educational training programs for employees. Conferences, web classes, professional organizations and attending guest speakers are all encouraged and paid for by the 116 & West.
