Idaho is a great place to live and work. As the state’s economy continues to grow at a faster pace than the nation's (with a lower unemployment rate), it becomes increasingly important for Idaho businesses to compete effectively for qualified and motivated employees. The Idaho Business Review, the state’s preeminent business publication, is teaming with POPULUS, a nationally-recognized marketing research company headquartered in Boise, to identify the best places to work in Idaho and the best practices in employee attraction and retention.
We are inviting employers across the state with at least 20 employees to participate in this initiative. The process will involve:
- Registering to participate (must meet some eligibility requirements)
- Allowing POPULUS to conduct a confidential survey among employees
- Having an HR manager for each company complete a separate online survey about current employment practices
Employers receiving the highest ratings—for both medium-size and large businesses—will be recognized at award events hosted by the Idaho Business Review in the Boise area, northern Idaho, and eastern Idaho. The Idaho Business Review will also publish articles about award winners and describe the programs they have that engender employee satisfaction and loyalty.
Perhaps more importantly, each participating business will receive the scores for key dimensions of its employee satisfaction and learn how these scores compare to the top 10% of performers in their region of the state. Strict confidentiality will be maintained in analyzing the data and reporting survey results to each participating business.
