Nichols Accounting is a mid-sized firm with a small firm feel. We know that we compete for talent, and we love educating our candidates on the special and unique benefits of a smaller firm.   • Access to leaders and opportunities: From day one, our new staff work in collaboration with senior leaders on complex projects. By are shadowing experienced managers, staff accelerate their business acumen and fast track their career growth. We offer many services, and our staff work on many different types of engagements and projects over several key industries. We believe in a team approach. Together, client managers, senior accountants and staff provide excellent service for our clients with proactive planning and consulting, building relationship as trusted advisors. 
  • A voice at the Firm: We are continuously seeking to improve and advance the Firm. Who better to help design the future than our future leaders? Staff at Nichols are actively involved in firm projects, culture council committees, our “plus one” program and brainstorming sessions to speak into the direction, policies, and procedures that impact our people and our clients. Feedback through monthly surveys and “ask us anything” provides regular employee input to the leadership team to help us navigate and improve.   
  • Flexibility: Our Firm’s proven process is “Communicate, Keep Our Commitments, and Be Kind.” Our policies surrounding flexibility are just one way that we live this out. Many of our staff have the opportunity to structure flexible work weeks and work from home in either fully remote or hybrid roles. We close early on Fridays from May through December, and we offer competitive paid time off, holiday time, and compensatory time off benefits and awards. 
  • Success: We strive to help each member of the team understand what it means to succeed at Nichols. We have invested time in developing clear job descriptions, performance expectations, coaching systems, career training systems, and more. We believe in coaching, regular check-in’s, same page meetings, and quarterly conversations.
